Would A College Look Down At Me For Mentioning Anime In This Essay?

Okay, well it's not really an essay, since the maximum word count is 250. But I have to choose one word to describe myself and why, and I want to choose foreign. I would mention anime in the sense that it was my stepping stone of getting into Japanese, and eventually Korean culture, and on top of that meaning of foreign I would use it in the way that I've never really fit in at school and that I'm not a normal person (not in the cheesy 'I'm a unique snowflake'
