A couple years ago for a class, I watched a short film (less than 30 minutes long) that was probably made in the 1980s or sometime around then.
It was a science fiction film set in a society where telephones are everywhere, unavoidable. It shows the main character going about his daily life and being pestered by the phone until he is driven to madness. The character narrates over the scenes of his day and at the end of the film is talking directly to the camera and cautions the viewer against
