Sound Help ? (personal Computer)?

I removed the program which makes/controls sound.
I was downloading an anti virus ad it said that I should remove some programs and I removed 'Sound Max' the 'sound program'.
Now I can't listen to songs or watch movies online!
How can I bring back sound max ?
