I'm 12 and gay. I live in Ireland, where everyone is racist and homophobic. For the past 7 years its been hammered into me that being gay is a bad thing and that it's wrong. I've accepted that I'm gay after many months of suffering, but a part of me still feels ashamed of being gay.
My mom and dad are both loving and accepting, but I still think they'll be surprised, and possibly disappointed, that I'm not straight.
My brother, who's only nine, said to me that if I was gay, he'd move out,
