Is The Japanese Term "lolita" (lolicon) Derived From Vladimir Nabokov's Novel?

Well, the Japanese term "Lolicon" is short for "Lolita Complex." In the anime fandom Lolicon is an attraction to underage girls. The under-aged Girls are called "Lolitas."
In Nabokov's Novel, the protagonist, Humbert Humbert, is a middle-aged man who is smitten with a 12-year-old "girl-child" whom he affectionately refers to as "Lolita."
I'm wondering if anyone knows whether or not the Japanese term was derived from Nabokov's Novel?
