Non-mainstream Japanese Music?

To be blunt, I absolutely hate Jpop. Some of it is fun to listen to, but as a genre I can't take it seriously. As a serious student of Japanese, I need some resources to practice with, and music is a great one. However all the Japanese music that foreigners tend to get exposed to (through dramas, movies, anime, etc) is really formulaic Jpop. It all sounds the same to me. Whether or not you agree, I'm looking for some good indie, non-mainstream Japanese music to listen to. Y'know, stuff that
