Easy Cosplay Ideas For A Beginner?

I've been wanting to cosplay for a while now and now that I know that there are cons near my area I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to cosplay to one of them. the thing is i've never cosplay anything in my life! So would you the reader mind giving me some ideas for simple cosplays. I have very low sewing skills but i can do VERY simple things.... I don't really care from what anime but please no ecchi. Pleas do list the name of the character and the anime/manga so i can look them up. THANKS FOR THE HELP!
